daily prints will be on exhibit January 2–March 20, 2026 in Juneau, Alaska, at the Davis Gallery at Centennial Hall. If you go, let me know because I’ll be as pleased as punch you went. <3

Below, daily prints is presented in reverse chronological order. Each print is a series of one–which I am keeping for my letterpress journal–with two artist proofs. The artist proofs are available for $20 each. If you are unable to visit the exhibit in Juneau to buy one, please get in touch.

January 2026

When I moved to Kenny Lake, Alaska, from Reno, Nevada, in June 2024, I had just shredded 25 years of personal journals because I did not want to carry the weight of all those words to Alaska. I stopped writing entirely, thinking that a different environment would allow me to discover new habits of reflection. A few months after moving, I found I missed the physicality of putting words to paper. Not wanting to start another endless collection of notebooks, I bought a tabletop press, a set of wood type, and some ink; daily prints was born.

At first, I was making prints to learn how to use my press, but that soon evolved into a way to record my thoughts, feelings, and daily activities without the burden of creating and maintaining a more traditional written journal. My year of letterpress journaling had begun.

Since November 27, 2024, I have been making daily prints. Sometimes joyful, sometimes anxious, always a reflection of the moment I was in, this series is a colorful, text-based ode to moments that caught my attention. The freedom of approaching letterpress printing as a journaling project has given me space to experiment with color, text, and layer placement. The end result is not a product intended for consumption; it is simply a collection of interpretations of snippets of time that I experienced. What started as a year-long project continues.
